Each year, volunteers log over 18,000 hours of work. For many years, the park has worked with large, mid-size and and small corporations, businesses and other organizations to accept their contributions of time, sweat and elbow grease. The work these volunteers do benefits all people by improving public park facilities and recreation opportunities. Contact the park to coordinate a service project that meets the needs of your organization. Project arrangements depend on staff availablity and the demands of environmental assessments and compliance procedures. If you would like your organization of friends, co-workers, or club members to be involved in improving the park, start by contacting the volunteer coordinator at 703-221-2847. Please allow at least two weeks to make arrangements with park staff. |
