The prescribed fire has been completed for Wednesday, October 14. An additional 30 acres will be ignited on Thursday, weather permitting.

A prescribed fire has been ignited this morning in the Estero/N Ranch area to control exotic broom plants.

Orionid meteor shower; black-tailed deer; duck hunting season on the Tomales Bay Ecological Reserve; controlled burns this week in the Drakes Estero area to eliminate exotic broom; road paving projects are scheduled for Bear Valley Road on October 22 and 23; "Bats of Point Reyes" ranger programs on October 24, 25, and 31.
