Steamtown National Historic Site invites families, park enthusiasts, and future Junior Rangers to celebrate Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This event marks the beginning of National Park Week and offers a variety of engaging activities suitable for all ages. Visitors can participate in rail equipment demonstrations, explore the Union Pacific “Big Boy” No. 4012 during cab tours, and experience the handcar firsthand. The day also features opportunities to meet community station partners, test bridge-building skills, and engage with new Junior Ranger activity sheets. By completing these activities, attendees can officially become Steamtown Junior Rangers.
