The Rainbow Forest district is an historic site with private ranger homes, gift/curio shop, museum, and bookstore. The buildings were built from the late 1920s into the late 1930s, some by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). In 1931 Dr. Einstein came to visit the museum and Giant Logs.
