Marshy Point Park and Nature Center is nestled between Saltpeter Creek and Dundee Creek, a tributary of the Gunpowder River. In addition to providing premiere access to the waterfront and surrounding forest, the park protects a variety of natural habitats, including woodlands, wetlands, and tidal waterways, for the benefit of wildlife and enjoyment of visitors.
Marshy Point Park’s office is located inside the Marshy Point Nature Center. The nature center is home to live animal ambassadors, interactive displays and exhibits pertaining to the upper Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. Interpretative programs are led by staff year-round to engage the public with the rich natural history of the area.
