Quick Facts
Location:
Fort Laramie, WY
Built in 1885, the Administration Building served as the Fort Laramie Headquarters. It also served as the post theater and school. Looking at the interior of the north wall, there is a visible section that shows the marks from wood planks used to make the forms when the concrete was poured. Like many other buildings at Fort Laramie, when this building was sold at public auction, it was stripped of its timber that would be used in construction elsewhere in the vicinity.
