Housed in a Works Progress Administration building originally designed as a bathhouse, the Maritime Museum features exhibits on navigation, naval history, ships and more. The museum is free, and open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

San Francisco Senior Center

Founded in 1947, the San Francisco Senior Center is located in the Maritime Museum building near the Aquatic Park and is the oldest non-profit senior center in the entire US. With an array of programs, including low-cost nutritious lunches served daily, the Senior Center is dedicated to improving the lives of San Francisco's elders.
