Ozark Springs provide habitat for many species of aquatic plants. The ivy leaved duckweed is found in Alley and Round Spring, yet is rare statewide. Watercress is abundant in all the springs, and coontail provides habitat for fish in the rivers. Pickerel weed, sweet flag and other species can be found in backwaters and sloughs along the river.
