    There is no entrance fee to visit the National Parks of New York Harbor, however fees at individual sites may vary. Please be sure to check the webpage for your destination to learn more about special programs or events that may charge a fee or require a reservation.

    Fees at Associated Sites

An entrance pass is not required to access National Parks of New York Harbor .

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

2026 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees, including timed entry or reservation fees, may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

Beginning in 2026, free entrance on these days will be for US citizens and residents only. Nonresidents will pay the regular entrance fee and any applicable nonresident fees.

Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island

Free, but there is a charge for the ferry to the park. Additionally, a special ticket is required to visit the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty or to visit the crown. Pedestal and crown tickets are limited and are sold on a first-come first-served basis. Visit www.statuecruises.com for further information.

Gateway National Recreation Area

Free, but there may be fees for parking, depending on the site and season.

Governors Island National Monument

Free, but there is a charge for the ferry to the park. Governors Island is only open during the summer and for special events. Check the park's website for a calendar and additional information.

Lower East Side Tenement Museum

There is a fee for admission and reservations are required for tours. Please check the website for further information.
