Nicodemus Township Hall

Nicodemus National Historic Site is located south of the Roadside Park off Highway 24. The Nicodemus Township Hall and visitor center is home to historic exhibits, the park films, and park store. Don't forget to stamp your Passport while you're there! The Township Hall and the AME Church are two of five historic buildings fully accessible to the public. Explore the town on foot, vehicle, or bicycle. There is plenty to do and see at Nicodemus based on the amount of time you have available.

If you have 30 minutes

• Watch the Park's 5 short films
• See exhibits inside the AME Church and Township Hall
• Ask a Ranger any questions you have about the history of Nicodemus

For 1-2 hours

• Take a self-guided walk of Nicodemus
• Visit the historic buildings by car or by foot
• Or request a Ranger guided walk (When available)
• Everything listed for the 30-minute visit

If you have more time

• Visit the Nicodemus dugout outside Stockton
• Visit the historic Nicodemus Cemetery
• Become a Junior Ranger

 

Trails & Rails

A partnership between the National Park Service and Amtrak allows you to visit and learn more about the National Park Service through the Trails and Rails program or Amtrak to Parks program.
