The Trust for the National Mall

The Trust was incorporated as a charitable non-profit corporation in May of 2002. We signed a partnership agreement with the National Park Service in May of 2003 and completed a fundraising agreement with the National Park Service on January 26, 2004. These agreements give the Trust unique status as the primary fundraiser for the National Mall. Congress made the NPS administrator of the Mall in 1933, and, since that time, it has been the beginning and ending point for all planning, construction, and landscaping that takes place there.
