A paved path leads into the Fort Pulaski Cemetery which is bordered by a small brick wall. Two white gravestones and one memorial can be seen within in the cemetery itself. The paved path ends at a monument dedicated to the Immortal 600. The monument is grey with a black and gold tablet with the names, units, and death dates of thirteen Confederate officers. On the base are the words “Lest we forget.” To the left on the outside of the small brick wall of the cemetery are two palm trees and on the right is the northwest bastion of Fort Pulaski.

The short brick wall of the Fort Pulaski cemetery is in the foreground. In the background can be seen the Immortal 600 memorial marker. Between the marker and the small opening in the wall is an empty grassy space where the unmarked graves of the known thirty-seven people buried in the cemetery.
