The double boxes of the steam press are located on the second floor of the gin barn. Above on of the boxes is a tamper that creates a 500 pound bail of cotton as the box is being filled. Large wooden doors fall to the floor and bales are then rolled out.

The de seeder wheels consists of two long rounded shape wheels with metal nails sticking out. As the cotton passed through the wheels the seeds would fall out.

The blacksmith shop with its double hipped roof and exterior bousillage walls. Boiusillage is a mixture of mud, animal hair and Spanish moss. Wooden slats of cypress are layered within for support.
