San Mateo Parklands - Sweeney Ridge

The land of Sweeney Ridge includes the San Francisco Bay Discovery Site - where Spanish Captain Juan Gaspar De Portolá first glimpsed the San Francisco Bay in 1769, as well as the control area for Nike Site SF-51, present from the 1950s to 1974.
