Seasonal Changes to Visitor Services

Beginning November 1, 2026, Lindenwald, the Visitor Center, and park bookstore are closed for the season. Park grounds remain OPEN daily from 7 am to sunset.
Guided house tours are anticipated to resume in late May or early June 2027.

Visitors can continue exploring the park through the free NPS App, featuring the self-guided Wayside Loop – Martin Van Buren and Dogs of the NPS audio tours.

The Junior Ranger program is also available year-round! Download the Junior Ranger activity booklet from the park website and mail your completed booklet to the park to earn an official Junior Ranger badge.

Winter Hours:

The Visitor Center and Lindenwald, the historic house, will close for the season on October 31, 2026 and will reopen May/June 2027. In the interim there will be no visitor services available.

The site grounds are open for walking year round from 7:00 am to sunset.

Summer Hours:

*Lindenwald (the historic house) is not air conditioned and in the event of high heat, tours may be cancelled or shortened.
