The Visitor Center and mansion are currently closed. Park grounds remain open daily, sunrise to sunset. The park's 20 miles of trails & carriage roads are available for hiking, dog-walking (on leash), and equestrian use until there is adequate snow cover, at which time they will be accessible by snowshoe and cross-country skis. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not permitted on carriage roads or trails at any time. Parking in located across the street at Billings Farm and Museum (69 Old River Rd, Woodstock, VT 05091).

The visitor center will be open daily from 10am to 5pm, Memorial Day Weekend to Oct 31 2023. Guided tours will be offered during that time.

Important Safety Notice

The National Park Service follows CDC guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Current COVID-19 community level: LOW

Mask requirements are based on the CDC's identified COVID-19 community level, noted above.

  • HIGH: masks are required for everyone indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Indoor areas include, but are not limited to, the park visitor center, mansion, outbuildings, and administrative offices.
  • MEDIUM and LOW: masks are optional indoors.
  • Practice physical distancing by maintaining at least 6 feet (2 m) of distance between you and others.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer. Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze. If you feel sick, please do not visit the park.
