On January 2, 2024 the Texas White House Complex closed so the construction phase of the Texas White House rehabilitation can begin. The LBJ Ranch driving tour remains open. Visitors can still see the school, cemetery, birthplace and showbarn. More
Leashed dogs are welcome in some areas of the park.
Pets are permitted in limited areas of Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park. They must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times.
Pets are NOT allowed in park buildings.
Pets are prohibited in the Texas White House yard.

Do not leave pets unattended in vehicles. Interior temperatures of vehicles can soar above 120°F (49°C) in minutes. Pets can quickly overheat and die under these conditions, even with the windows cracked.
Specially trained service animals fall under provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are permitted to accompany people with disabilities in all areas where members of the public are allowed to go.
Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site does allow leashed pets on trails.
