Stories of the Past and the Impact on the Present

In the Fall/Winter of 2017, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield partnered with the Student Conservation Association to help and tell various stories of our shared past. Two different interns were tasked with gathering hours of oral histories and interviews from local residents. See links and descriptions below to view the final product of these wonderful projects.

Veterans History Project, WWII to Present Day

The purpose of this project is to bring greater awareness of soldier stories from diverse perspectives into the classroom in order to compare and contrast veterans' experiences from different wars and conflicts. These stories were collected, transcribed and archived with the Library of Congress, as well as used for curriculam based programming.
