Jewel Cave National Monument will be changing its hours of operation for the off-season. Beginning Sunday, October 29 the visitor center will be closed Sundays-Tuesdays and open Wednesdays-Saturdays 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with cave tours at scheduled times.
The cave tours the monument will continue to offer will be the popular Scenic and Discovery Tours. Most of the tours will be available to book in advance on Recreation.gov. If staffing allows, limited walk-up tours for the Scenic and Discovery Tours will be available.
The Park Store inside the visitor center, operated by park partner, Black Hills Parks and Forests Association, will be operating on the same schedule as the visitor center. The store offers visitors multiple products and services to complement their visit.
