![]() Watch your step for tripping hazards such as loose gravel, tree roots, hedge apples, or animal holes. In winter, watch for ice on trails, sidewalks, and bridge. Wind can make the prairie extra cold; make sure to dress warm. In summer, ticks are common throughout the park. Please check yourself after hiking on the trails, especially after contact with prairie grasses. Keep an eye out for poison ivy as well. Remember:leaves of three, let it be! Make sure to drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen on hot days. |
