Celebrated for its sweeping Hudson River views, grand estates and association with Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, the Town of Hyde Park has a rich history spanning four centuries. In large part due to FDR's personal efforts, Hyde Park is home to three national parks. With over a thousand acres, fifty historic buildings, six gardens, and 34 miles of trails, there is plenty to do in this place the Roosevelts called home. Hyde Park is also home to the nation's first presidential library. The permanent museum exhibits at the presidential library tell the story of the Roosevelt presidency beginning in the depths of the Great Depression and continuing through the New Deal and World War II with an emphasis on both Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s relationship with the American people.

Beyond Hyde Park

The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site is located within the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area.
