![]() NPS Photo About the ParkHarriet Tubman National Historical Park is located in Auburn, New York, and encompasses the areas where Harriet Tubman, lived, worked, and worshipped as a free woman from 1859 until her death in 1913.
Upon the completion of the Parker Street site, the parsonage building will serve as a visitor center, while the church will serve as a multipurpose interpretive space. Our MissionHarriet Tubman National Historical Park was authorized by Public Law 113-291, Section 3036, on December 19, 2014 as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. On January 10, 2017, Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, signed a Decision Memorandum establishing Harriet Tubman NHP as a unit of the national park system. Contact the park by email or call (315) 568-0024. Please note that as of September 2023, there are no rangers on-site at Harriet Tubman NHP. All calls will be received by staff at Women's Rights NHP and forwarded to park administration.
