Goals

Golden Gate's social media goals are 1) to put a human face on a governmental agencyand show the faces of rangers and staff that care for ourparks everyday; 2) to effectively reach and engage a broader spectrum of park visitors (real and virtual), and the increasinglydiverse segment of society that uses social media to meet differing needs; 3) to foster a feeling of personal ownership and stewardship of the park by allowing people to activelycontribute to the unfolding story of the park by sharing thoughts, comments, and experiences (as well asphotos and videos) ; 4) and to better understand our visitors by reading, listening to, and seeing what they care about throughtheir posts and responses to posts.

Moderation Policy

We treat our platforms as public forums and welcome discussion and debate. Be considerate of differing opinions and do not personally attack others. We will hide, delete, or report comments that break any platform rules. Threats and other illegal activity will be reported to law enforcement.

Permissions

We want to hear from you! GGNRA's social platforms use unique hashtags in order to collect content our park visitors wish to share with us (i.e. #MUWOYes, #GOGA50, #FOPOYes, etc). Understand that by using our special hashtags you are granting us permission to share or reshare your content on our channels. With your consent we will credit you by name for your images and/or words when appropriate. We can not share content that endorses or promotes a company, entity, or the like.

All entries and all rights of ownership in and to the entries, including all rights to use, reproduce, publish, modify, edit, and distribute the same will become the exclusive property of NPS and will not be returned. NPS reserves the right to edit, modify, copyright, publish, use, and reproduce any and all entries without further compensation.
