Ranger-guided programs give visitors an in-depth look into the stories of the park and the people that have lived on the land for generations. Program SchedulePrograms are offered year-round, Wednesday through Sunday. Programs are offered at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with additional times added when staffing allows. For an up to date program schedule, stop by the visitor center front desk or give us a call at 804-224-1732 ext 227.The park also hosts special events and programs throughout the year. Planning on attending a program?Programs are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour long and cover less than a half mile of walking. The trail is primarily crushed gravel. If you have accessibility needs or concerns, please check with a ranger at the front desk to see what acccomodations are available.Programs are conducted rain or shine, with most of the program being outdoors. During inclement weather, programs are offered in the visitor center theater. All regulary scheduled programs are free and no reservations or tickets needed. To attend a program, stop by the visitor center. Most tours will start on the lower deck of the visitor center overlooking Pope's Creek. |
