The Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park are dedicated to a nation united. We are also dedicated to the safety and health of our visitors, staff and volunteers.

Consistent with Pennsylvania Governor Wolf’s announcement of additional, temporary COVID-19 protective mitigation measures, prohibiting the operation of in-person businesses in the entertainment industry serving the public within buildings or indoor defined areas, the Gettysburg Foundation and Gettysburg National Military Park are joining organizations, businesses and groups to help fight the spread of the coronavirus.

With these safety measures, the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center will temporarily close Saturday, Dec. 12 through Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. This closure is a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the coronavirus, based on the guidance of state and federal officials. The battlefield will remain open and accessible.

All Gettysburg Foundation events and programs scheduled during this time are canceled. The health and well-being of our visitors and community come first, and we look forward to welcoming guests back to the Museum & Visitor Center in the near future.

Currently, the Museum & Visitor Center is scheduled to reopen at 9 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021. We will continually evaluate the situation, taking into account guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Public Health, and state and federal officials.

Guests with tickets for the Film, Cyclorama & Museum Experience, battlefield tour packages, group reservations or special events during the closure period may reschedule their visits for a later date or receive a full refund. Guests may also contact the Gettysburg Foundation at 877-874-2478 regarding refunds, questions or concerns.

Updates and changes will be posted to this page.
