Explore Fort Scott's Sites

See where you are located within the park and find what is nearby. It's a great way to find where things are in the park, or what is near you when you're in the park. If you've downloaded the app content ahead of your visit, the map will continue to work for you without an internet connection!

Using the App

1. Download the app.
2. Choose: 'EXPLORE THE NPS'
3. Choose: 'FIND A PARK >'
4. In the search line type 'Fort Scott' and the app will find Fort Scott National Historic Site
   • You can also find us by state (Kansas), scroll through the park names.
5. Choose 'Fort Scott' and 'EXPLORE FULL PARK'
6. Select the 'Star' at the top to add to your Favorites!

Cellular service within the park is readily available. However, in order to make use of the app where service is limited, follow these simple steps:

1. Once Fort Scott NHS is open, Choose 'Save this park for offline use'

By doing this, most of the app content will be available for use when and where service is limited (the exceptions being alerts, calendar updates, and real-time updates—accessing those items before leaving service will at least keep that information in the app). Even without cellular service, the app will be able to share your location on the map and bring up all site content.
