Dr. Jill Biden is the current First Lady of the United States. Wife to incumbent president Joe Biden, Dr. Biden is the first spouse since Barbara Bush to hold the positions of both Second Lady and First Lady and is the first spouse since Pat Nixon to hold them non-consecutively. Dr. Biden is also the first wife of a sitting U.S. President to hold a paying job outside the White House. She works as a college professor at Northern Virginia Community College. So far as First Lady, Dr. Biden has sought to revive the military families program Joining Forces that she had previously founded as Second Lady alongside Michelle Obama.
