Ranger Programs and Home Tours

Eisenhower National Historic Site grounds are open daily, sunrise to sunset. Visitors may drive directly to Eisenhower NHS (use 250 Eisenhower Farm Rd for GPS) and follow signs for on-site parking. RVs, trailers, and buses are not allowed on-site without prior approval.

Eisenhower home tours are offered seasonally and on select dates. See below for a current schedule.

Group Tours

Groups of ten or more--including scout groups and education groups--must book separate tours for the Eisenhower home at least two weeks prior to your visit. For more information on how to arrange a group tour, visit us here.

Summer and Fall 2026 Tours of the Eisenhower Home

Thursday, May 28 through Monday, October 26

Tours take place Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays between 10 am and 3 pm.

• Home tours are first come, first served. Space may be limited depending on crowd sizes on the day of your visit.
• Visitors should check-in at our visitor contact station on-site and reserve a spot before their home tour program.
• The last home tour and home entry of the day will take place at 3 pm.

 

Groups of 10 or More

Groups of 10 or more who are interested in touring the Eisenhower home must reserve tour times outside of our regularly schedule home tour schedule. Click here to learn more on scheduling your group of ten or more.

 

Summer 2026 Ranger Programs

Ranger Guided Walking Tours of the Eisenhower Farm

Tuesdays and Wednesdays, June 2 through September 2
10 am and 1 pm

• Join Eisenhower NHS Park Rangers for free guided walking tours of the historic Eisenhower farm landscape.
• These programs are one hour long. Meet the ranger in front of the Eisenhower home.
• Note: these programs do not include a tour of the Eisenhower home. They are grounds tours only.

WWII Tours of Gettysburg National Cemetery

Saturdays at 1 pm, May 30 through September 5

• Over 500 WWII veterans are buried in Gettysburg National Cemetery, including combat casualties from Pearl Harbor, D-Day, and the Battle of the Bulge. Join an Eisenhower NHS Park Ranger to explore some of their stories.
• These programs are 45 to 60 minutes in length and meet at the Taneytown Road entrance to Gettysburg National Cemetery.

Hike with Ike: Camp Colt

Sundays at 1 pm, May 31 through September 6

• In 1918, Captain Dwight Eisenhower commanded a tank training camp on the historic Gettysburg battlefield. Explore the grounds of Camp Colt with a NPS ranger to discover this important story in Eisenhower's life and career.
• These programs are one hour long and meet at the High Water Mark Monument on Cemetery Ridge, Stop 15 on the Gettysburg National Military Park Auto Tour.
