About Ranger-Guided Programs
Ranger-led activities are a great way to discover more about Dinosaur National Monument. Programs are created for general audiences, and are designed to bring the natural and cultural stories of Dinosaur National Monument to life. Summer 2023 Program Schedule
Geology Talks - Daily at 10 amMeet at the Quarry Exhibit Hall shuttle stop to learn more about the processes that have shaped today's landscape. (15-20 minute talk)
Junior Ranger Activity Books - Daily, self-guided, year roundRequest a free activity book at a visitor center or the quarry. While designed for younger visitors, all ages are welcome to complete activities and earn a badge.
Evening Programs - Select nights, times varyStop by a visitor center or campground bulletin board for the list of Evening Program dates and topics. On select nights, meet at the Green River Campfire Circle, near Loop B Site 22. Extra parking for non-campers is available. (30-45 minute talk)
Night Sky Programs - Select nights, times varyStop by a visitor center or campground bulletin board for the list of Night Sky Program dates and topics. On select nights, meet at the Split Mountain Campground closed loop, at the south end of the campground. Extra parking for non-campers is available. (20-60 minute talk and sky viewing, with telescopes when weather and staffing allow)
