Dinosaur Quarry and Cub Creek Area
Roads
Cub Creek Road: Open for first 8 miles (12.8 km).
Split Mountain Road: Open. Temporary closures may be necessary with additional snow.
Campgrounds
Green River Campground: Closed for winter.
Split Mountain Campground: Open, no water available. All sites first-come, first-served. Expect snow and mud.
Trails
Fossil Discovery Trail: Open, snow covered. Free trail handout available at Quarry Visitor Center and Exhibit Hall.
Sound of Silence Trail: Open, snow covered. Trail booklet available at trailhead for $1.
Desert Voices Trail: Open, snow covered.
River Trail: Open, snow covered. Leashed pets permitted. Pick up and dispose of pet waste.
Lizard Petroglyph Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trailhead depends on Cub Creek Road conditions.
Box Canyon Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trailhead depends on Cub Creek Road conditions.
Hog Canyon Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trailhead depends on Cub Creek Road conditions.
Rainbow Park & Island Park Area
Island Park Road: Open. Road not maintained in winter, and may be impassable when wet or covered in snow.
McKee Springs Petroglyph Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trailhead depends on Island Park Road conditions.
Rainbow Park Campground: Open, no drinking water available, all 4 sites first-come, first-serve. Expect snow and mud.
Harpers Corner & Echo Park Areas
Roads
Harpers Corner Road: Temporarily closed just past the Canyon Visitor Center. Closed for the winter just past Plug Hat Butte, 5 miles (8 km) north of US Highway 40.
Echo Park Road: Open, snow-covered. 4WD and high clearance recommended. Road not maintained in winter, and may be impassable when wet or covered in snow.
Yampa Bench Road: Open, snow covered. 4WD and high clearance recommended. Road not maintained in winter, and may be impassable when wet or covered in snow.
Campgrounds
Echo Park Campground: Open, no water available. Expect snow and mud. Pack out your own trash. Sites are first-come, first-serve. Access to campground depends on Harpers Corner, Echo Park, and Yampa Bench road conditions.
Trails
Plug Hat Butte Area Trails: Open, snow-covered. Access to trailheads depends on Harpers Corner Road conditions.
Ruple Point Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trailhead depends on Harpers Corner Road conditions.
Harpers Corner Trail: Open, snow covered. Access to trail depends on Harpers Corner Road conditions.
Bull Canyon Trail (Off Yampa Bench Road - Not Bull Canyon Rim Trail at Plug Hat Butte): Flooding/washout caused severe damage to the trail including complete wash out of trail in lower sections of the canyon. Access to trailhead depends on Yampa Bench Road conditions.
Deerlodge Park Area
Deerlodge Road: Open.
Deerlodge Park Campground: Open, no water available. Expect snow and mud. All sites first-come, first-serve. Pack out your trash. Vehicles must keep all wheels on pavement in parking area and campers hike in to sites under the trees.
Jones Hole Area
Jones Hole Trail: Open, snow covered and muddy.
Gates of Lodore Area
Colorado HWY 318: Open.
Moffat County HWY 34 & 34N: Open.
Gates of Lodore Trail: Open, snow covered. Trail booklet available at trailhead for $1.
