Choosing an Entrance Pass

Do you have or qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful Pass?

If you already have an America the Beautiful—the National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, that's the only entrance pass you need. Seniors, military, visitors with a permanent disability, and families with a 4th grader are eligible for a free or discounted America the Beautiful pass.

Depending on your mode of transportation Devils Tower National Monument has three different types of entrance fees. One price point for private vehicles (cars, trucks, vans, RVs), another for Motorcycles, and lastly, one for individuals walking or biking in, etc. Commercial tours are separate and have different fees associated. Fee for a single, private, non-commercial vehicle and all its passengers. Note: In summer it's a good idea to arrive at the entrance station before 10 am or after 4 pm to avoid congestion and find better parking options.

Admits one individual when entering on foot or bicycle. Individuals 15 years of age or younger are admitted free. This may also be used to calculate cost for organized non-profit groups (service organizations, scout groups, religious groups, etc.)

These entrance fees are based upon the seating capacity of the commercial tour vehicle - not the actual number of passengers. The fee is $25 plus $15/person, not to exceed $40.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.

How to Get an America the Beautiful Pass

In Person (Recommended)

Passes can be purchased or picked up at over 1,000 federal recreation sites.

To receive your pass by mail, order online at the USGS Online Store or by phone: 1-888-275-8747, extension 1. Hours of operation are 8 am to 4 pm Mountain Time.

2024 Free Entrance Days in the National Parks

Come experience the national parks! All National Park Service sites that charge an entrance fee will offer free admission to everyone (other fees may apply). Mark your calendar for these entrance fee-free dates:

 

Cashless Fee Collection


As of April 1st 2022, Devils Tower National Monument will be accepting entrance fee payments via card and digital payments only. Visitors can purchase Devils Tower National Monument entrance passes in advance by going to Recreation.gov or through the Recreation.gov application. Visitors purchasing from Recreation.gov will have a digital pass they can store on a mobile device or print out, saving time when they arrive at the park. America the Beautiful annual and lifetime passes do still cover the cost of entry into the park, and must be shown in conjunction with proper ID.
 
 

Help the line move faster

Plan ahead for a long entrance line in the busy months between April and October. Your entrance pass may be purchased ahead of time from Recreation.gov which will save you time when you get to the entrance station to come into the monument.
