We fill positions in many fields, including interpretation, maintenance, administration, resource management, education, law enforcement, visitor services, and mountaineering. Some jobs are office-oriented, others focus on working with the public, and some involve working outdoors. Each job performs a vital function—that of providing visitors an opportunity to enjoy a unique experience, while working hard to preserve natural and cultural resources for future generations. All National Park Service job opportunities are advertised on USAJOBS. People who work in and around the Denali area are also hired through internships, youth employment programs, and partner organizations. See below for more information on these positions.

Tips for Applying to Federal Jobs

• Create a USAJOBS account, search for jobs you're interested in, and turn on Job Alerts to be notified about new job openings that match your search criteria.
• Apply as soon as possible. Many job announcements close after an applicant limit is reached, which could happen in the first 24 hours.
• Federal resumes are limited to two pages in length. Be sure to include experience that is relevant to the job and highlights all of the job requirements to demonstrate your eligibility. Your resume should include:
  • Dates worked (for example, May 2026 through September 2026), the position title, and employer name for each period of employment in your resume.

Federal Youth Conservation Corps (YCC)

Unique summer employment opportunities are available to teens in Denali National Park and Preserve. This program is open to applicants ages 15 through 18. Applicants must have local housing and parental consent to participate in the program.
