NPS/Josh Angelini A map shows the area around the Village of Boston, showing the routes of trails and roads, and the locations of buildings, trailheads, and parking lots. A north arrow points straight up on a legend to the right. Bisecting the map near the middle is the Cuyahoga River represented in light blue, which runs north-south through the area. Running generally parallel to its left is a railroad, and just left of that is Riverview Road, also running north-south. On the right side of the river, a dashed gray line shows the north-south route of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. Just to the right of the Towpath, a brown dashed and dotted line represents the Valley Trail, which winds generally north-south through the area. Perpendicular to most of these other routes, a winding, squiggly blue dashed line shows the route of the Buckeye Trail, which winds generally east-west through the Boston area. In multiple locations, the trail crosses over Boston Mills Road, which also runs east-west. Near the bottom-left corner of the map, a label along the Buckeye Trail reads, “Blue Hen Falls” with a waterfall icon. Finally, in the upper righthand quadrant of the map, a green dashed line winds off to the east from the Towpath Trail near Stanford Trailhead. This is the Stanford Trail, which eventually meets a dark brown, solid looped line representing the Brandywine Gorge Loop near the top-right corner of the map. The Brandywine Falls Trailhead is labeled next to this loop, with icons for parking, restrooms, and a waterfall. Near the center of the map, a large green call-out box reads, “Boston Mill Visitor Center” with icons for information, souvenirs, parking, and restrooms. It points to a building near the intersection of Riverview and Boston Mills roads, on the west bank of the river. Across the river to the east, another building is labeled “Boston Store” with text that reads, “seasonal hours” and icons for souvenirs, refreshments, and restrooms. In the top left corner of the map, a text box reads, “Hiking Trail Routes; Stanford Trailhead to Brandywine Falls, Roundtrip distance: 3.5 miles, Elevation change: 400 feet; Boston Mill Visitor Center to Brandywine Falls, Roundtrip distance: 5.5 miles, Elevation change: 440 feet; Boston Mill Visitor Center to Blue Hen Falls, Roundtrip distance: 3 miles, Elevation change: 580 feet.”

East Rim Mountain Bike Trails
Map of two different loop trails, with a heading that reads "East Rim Mountain Bike Trails". The background of the map includes green shading for parkland, with topography represented by lighter and darker shades of green. Trails and other features are represented with different patterns and symbols. Red dashed lines represent emergency exit routes. Both loop trails connect to the Bike & Hike Trail to the east, represented by an irregularly dashed black line near the right side of the map. Parking and restroom symbols appear near the bottom right corner, at the intersection of the Bike & Hike Trail and Boston Mills Road. An area map on the right side shows the location of the East Rim Trails within the national park, near its eastern flank and about halfway between its northern and southern ends.
Lamb Loop Trail is the northern loop, located south of West Hines Hill Road and north of I-80, and represented by a purple and white line. Red hashmarks show a private residence along the trail's northern edge. The trail winds around the edge of a plateau above ravines, descending and crossing a stream near its midpoint near the left side of the map before ascending on the other side. Cutting generally horizontally through this loop is the Edson Run Trail, which is represented with a double purple line. East Rim Trail is the southern loop, located south of I-80 and north of Boston Mills Road, and represented with a solid black line. This shorter loop winds around the edge of a plateau for about half of its length. Along part of its southern extent, a black uniformly-dashed line shows the route of the Post Line Trail. |
