Cuyahoga Valley Trails Council

Cuyahoga Valley Trails Council (CVTC) is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to improving the trails in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. With guidance from the National Park Service, CVTC coordinates monthly trail repair projects and leads projects on the park's Days of Service. CVTC is not a membership-based organization; all are welcome to participate in CVTC-led projects. Learn more by visiting the CVTC website.

Medina Ohio Horseman's Council

The Medina County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman’s Council is a dedicated group of folks who join together for fun, riding, camping, volunteering on trails, staying informed on horse-related issues, and sponsoring quality events for horsemen. Since 1986, Medina Ohio Horseman’s Council (MOHC) members have helped fund, build, and maintain the horse trails in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. On select weekends, MOHC holds work parties that maintain, upgrade, and service the horse trails in the national park. All are welcome to volunteer on MOHC projects. For more information about upcoming events and locations, visit the MOHC website.

Adopt-a-Trail

Adopt-a-Trail volunteers help park staff maintain safe and well-groomed trails. They participate in trail "sweeps" by picking up litter, trimming branches, clearing culverts, and reporting trail conditions on their adopted trails. Find a schedule of trail sweeps below.

For more information about the program, contact the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park at volunteer@forcvnp.org. Please contact one of the Adopt-a-Trail points of contact ahead of time to inform them if you will be attending a trail sweep.
