Cuyahoga Valley National Park includes sections of some longer trails that extend beyond park boundaries. These include the Buckeye Trail, the Ohio to Erie Trail, the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Valley Trail. Some of these trails even overlap. Though Cuyahoga Valley does not have its own campground, there are ways to bike or backpack through the park, camping nearby.

The Buckeye Trail

A portion of Ohio's Buckeye Trail passes through the park. This 1,400-mile hiking trail makes a big loop around the state of Ohio. It is popular among backpackers. Visit the Buckeye Trail Association's website for more information. Our hiking page and maps page include more detailed information about the local section of this state-wide trail.
