No entrance pass required
An entrance pass is not required to access Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Beginning in 2026, free entrance on these days will be for US citizens and residents only. Nonresidents will pay the regular entrance fee and any applicable nonresident fees. There are no entrance fees at Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. There are fees for camping, guided tours, and other amenities in the park.

Hensley Settlement Tour Camping at Wilderness Road CampgroundCampsites at Wilderness Road Campground can be reserved up to 6 months in advance, or on the same day if sites are available. All campsites must be reserved and paid for through Recreation.gov. To book a campsite, go to the Wilderness Road Campground, Cumberland Gap National Historical Park - Recreation.gov page or call 1-877-444-6777.
