Junior Ranger

The Junior Ranger program is an activity-based program conducted in national parks across the country. There are currently two ways to become a Junior Ranger at Crater Lake:

 

Junior Ranger Activity Book

Are you between 6 and 12 years old, or a kid at heart? You can earn a Junior Ranger badge by completing at least 7 pages of the park's Junior Ranger Activity Book [3.1 MB PDF]. The books are available free of charge in the park, year-round (or you can download and print a copy from home to get a jump-start). While the book was designed to accompany a park visit, touring the park is not a requirement. To receive a badge, send your completed book to the address on the cover, or photograph/scan the pages and email them to [e-mail]. Be sure to let us know your mailing address.

 

Virtual Junior Ranger Activities

Watch engaging videos from home to learn about Crater Lake National Park. After doing so, you can download and print colorful badges corresponding to each activity.
