Permits & Reservations

Things that may require an Administrative Permit:

• Groups of 24 or more
• Guided tours
• Commercial activities
• Scattering of ashes, funerals, or weddings
• First Amendment activities

Research requires a Research Permit:

A permit is required before conducting any research within the park. Apply online and contact the park's Research Coordinator.

Camping requires a reservation:

• Camping

Chiricahua does not have timed entries, parking, or other activities requiring reservation.

Backcountry Note:

Backcountry camping is prohibited and there are no public through trails to the Coronado National Forest so no backcountry permits are issued.
