Trees and Shrubs

It takes a hardy plant to survive the weather conditions on the rim of the Cedar Breaks Amphitheater at over 10,000 feet. There are however a few trees and shrubs that thrive in this environment, including Bristlecone Pine (Pinus longaeva), Douglas-Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii), Englemann Spruce (Picea engelmanii), Limber Pine (Pinus flexilis), Subalpine Fir (Abies lasiocarpa).
