1538 Ninth Street NW Washington, DC 20001 From The National Mall travel east onto Constitution Avenue NW, until you come to 12th Street (which is a one-way street). Make a left turn onto 12th Street. Continue traveling north on 12th Street NW, until you come to Rhode Island Avenue. Make a right turn onto Rhode Island Avenue. Keep straight on Rhode Island Avenue, until you come to 9th Street. Make a right turn onto 9th Street. Keep straight and 1538 9th Street will be the third house on the right (the red brick one). Winter: Temperatures usually range from 30 to 50 F. There is occasional snow. Spring: Temperatures usually range widely from 40 to 70 F. Rain is common. Summer: Temperatures usually range from 70 to 90 F. Humidity is usually high. Be prepared and drink plenty of water. There is a water fountain in the visitor center. Fall: Temperatures usually range widely from 40 to 70 F. Humidity can remain high in the earlier part of the season. Entrance Fee-free This site is fee-free year-round. No entrance fee or pass is required. Public WiFi is not available.

The Carter G. Woodson Home National Historic Site is a unit of the National Park Service. Acquired in 2005, the site is temporarily closed due to a full renovation project. Please continue to visit the website for future updates.
