Nature Trail
Nature Trail

NPS A. BUCCANERO

Capulin Volcano was established on August 9, 1916. Most roads and trails were developed prior to 1934. However, we are committed to providing physical access to the greatest number of individuals. From designing and building new facilities to the rehabilitation of older buildings, accessibility has become a key component of all projects. The staff at Capulin Volcano is working hard to correct and resolve accessibility deficiencies throughout the monument while following the National Park mission to preserve the natural and cultural resources and values of the monument unimpaired for the enjoyment, education, and inspiration of this and future generations.
