Military Reenlistments at Cabrillo National Monument Cabrillo National Monument has a long military history and many choose to hold their reenlistment ceremonies here. Reenlistment ceremonies do require a special permit. There is no fee for military ceremony special use permits.
Military reenlistment ceremonies are prohibited at the Statue and Visitor Center areas. All military reenlistment ceremonies must be held at the Event Bluff. Directions to the Event Bluff: Walk up towards the lighthouse just before you get there on the right follow the path to the Event Bluff a flat rocky area overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
