An entrance pass is not required to access Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park.

Other National Park Service sites may require an entrance pass or fee. Depending on your trip plans, an interagency pass may save you money.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass.

What You Need to Receive a Pass

Military Annual Pass
Eligible current U.S. military members, dependents, cadets, and active reservists must present a valid military ID, such as a CAC, DD Form 1173, or Next Generation Dependent ID.

Military Lifetime Pass
Eligible veterans and Gold Star Family members must provide valid documentation proving their status. Veterans may use a DoD ID, VHIC, Veteran ID Card, or state ID with a veteran designation.

Access Pass
Eligible U.S. citizens or residents with a permanent disability must provide documentation from a licensed physician or a federal or state agency verifying the disability.

4th Grade Pass
Eligible U.S. 4th graders must bring an Every Kid Outdoors voucher. Home-schooled and free-choice learners age 10 also qualify.

How to Get an America the Beautiful Pass

In Person (Recommended)

Physical Military Annual Passes, Military Lifetime Passes, Access Passes, and 4th Grade Passes can be picked up at Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park, located at 1515 SE Monroe Street, Topeka, Kansas 66612.

Order Online, Receive by Mail

To receive your pass by mail, order online at the USGS Online Store. Online orders are for physical passes, not digital passes, and may take up to three weeks to be processed and delivered. Order receipts may not be used in place of a physical pass. We recommend ordering at least three weeks in advance of your visit, or picking up a pass in person instead.
