Hammocks

Attaching lines to vegetation, including ponderosa pines, is prohibited. Hammocks and other items are not permitted to be hung from trees anywhere in the park. Hammocks must only be used with free-standing supports.

 

Reservations and Group Sizes

The Group site is located in Sunset Campground. The Group site is for a minimum of 7, maximum of 30 individuals.

Group Site Regulations

You are responsible for reviewing and abiding by all general campground regulations.

• Total group size includes all campers regardless of age.
• Please check in with the Campground Host upon arrival.
• The group site has a designated handicap accessible restroom and picnic tables.
• No more than 8 vehicles are authorized in the group site parking area.
• There are no electric, water, or sewer hook-ups at this campground.

Located west of Sunset Point, approximately 1.5 miles south of the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center, and is comprised of 99 sites in 3 loops; Loop A is primarily for RVs; Loops B & C are tent-only.
There are no sewer, water or electrical hook-ups available. A dump station is available in summer months near North Campground; use is included with campsite fee. Potable water is available near the dump station. Sunset Campground is close to Sunset Point and has a shuttle stop at its entrance.

Can't Find a Campsite?

The park has become an extremely popular destination in recent years. Due to this popularity, front-country park campgrounds usually fill by noon on weekends May through October.

If you arrive too late to get a site in a designated campground, you have the following options:

Check out popular alternatives for campground and dispersed camping.
Go to a private campground or stay in lodging in gateway communities. Visit Garfield County Tourism Bureau for more information.
Sleeping in your vehicle overnight along the roadside or at a roadside pull off is not allowed and violators may be subject to a citation.
