South Rim Ski and Snowshoe Trail

The snow on the road is partially packed with rough and bumpy conditions overall. Depth is 2-6". Pavement is beginning to show through in places.The road is still open for pedestrians, bicycles and leashed pets. Cross-country skiing is possible, but the road remains ungroomed.

Campground Information

Camping or sleeping in a vehicle is only allowed at a designated campsite you are registered to stay in.

Traffic

Between May and October, particularly on busy holiday weekends, you may experience long lines at the entrance road, and parking lots at popular trailheads and viewpoints can fill up.

Climbing Closures

Check annual climbing closures for protection of nesting raptors. These closures are effective March 15 to July 15.
