Live Virtual Programs

Let us bring the park to you – virtually! Black Canyon and Curecanti offer live virtual programs. These free programs are a great way to introduce your students to both parks and their resources. We recommend that you contact us at least one month in advance of your desired date for a distance learning program.

Please note: Groups will be asked to complete a technology test call approximately one week before the program.

What Do I Need?

To participate, groups will need the following equipment:

  • Computer, webcam, projector, speakers

  • Video conferencing platform (Google Meets, Zoom, Teams)

  • Stable high-speed internet connection

How Do I Sign Up?

To request a program, please e-mail us or call (970) 641-2337 ext. 203 with the following information:

  • Three or more preferred dates and times

  • The number of students per class

  • Special needs or other pertinent information for your group

  • Contact information: school phone number and address, teacher phone number (cell preferred) and email address

All Ages: Ask A Ranger

Students prepare questions ahead of time and spend 30-60 minutes with the ranger discussing park geology, ecology, conservation, human history, and what it means to be a National Park Service ranger. Program length depends on how many questions students prepare and the time restraints of the class. Questions can be emailed in advance. (30-60 minutes)
