Pets

Bringing a pet to the battlefield may limit your activities in the park. Pets are not allowed in the Big Hole Visitor Center or on trails.

Pets can be walked in both parking areas and in the mowed field outside of the visitor center, as long as:

• Pets are kept on a 6-foot or shorter leash.
• Pets are accompanied by an individual. Pets should not be left unaccompanied or tied to any object.
• Pet waste is picked up and properly disposed of. Plastic bags for pet waste are provided at a station in the visitor center parking lot.
