2026/2027 Winter Season Hours

South District-Cal Taggart Visitor Center, Lovell, WY

The Lovell Visitor Center is currently open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Closed, Mondays and Tuesdays.

However, the visitor center is subject to uplanned closures due to incliment weather or limited staffing. Closure information and notices will be posted on our website and our social media platforms: Facebook and Instagram.

North District-Yellowtail Dam Visitor Center, Fort Smith, MT

The Yellowtail Dam Visitor Center is closed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

One Park, Two Districts

Bighorn Canyon is comprised of two distinct districts. For informational on the recreational opportunities of each district, visit the Places to Go page.

NOTE: There is NO public roadway that connects the two districts within the boundary of the park. Please visit the Directions page for information on travelling to the two districts.
