Bighorn Canyon is home to a diverse array of natural features and ecosystems. In the north end of the park you can find grass covered foothills, hundred feet high canyon walls, ideal trout habitat in the Bighorn River, and lush spring fed oasis's where wildlife abounds. The south end puts you in the sagebrush. Red dirt and rock surround you and the canyon lies before you, deep and narrow in some places.
