Ear Mountain is an isolated mountain that rises 1000 feet above a surrounding plateau, reaching a maximum elevation of 2,329 feet. An off-trail hike to its summit gives outstanding views of low lying tundra and the nearby coastline. This is a good place to view wildlife. Ear Mountain also provides excellent opportunities for off-trail excursions into the surrounding tundra and coastal flats. Access is primarily by plane, with an unimproved airstrip located northeast of the mountain. |
